The DTCC just used tokenized securities in live transactions, and says its entire process will be tokenized by the end of 2026
The DTCC clears effectively every transaction you make, $4.7 quadrillion in volume a year, and it’s historically been the reason settlement is slow. That’s not the case anymore. Tokenization stopped being a crypto conference promise yesterday. They converted securities held at their depository into tokens and used them in live production transactions, after getting a no action letter from the SEC and announcing they’d build with Stellar and Canton Network.
