OG multichain sim game MegaCryptoPolis, which launched in 2018, is announcing a pivot toward an AI agent game. Players will now give their Citizens goals and let them work, trade and manage assets inside its existing city economy.
Its earlier MegaWorld gameplay involved couriers completing deliveries for player-owned buildings, earning payments from those owners and helping resource production. Resources were required to construct, operate and maintain buildings. This proposal would put AI in charge of navigating those economic opportunities.
In this way, an AI-controlled Citizen will be able to:
- Find and apply for jobs.
- Produce, buy and sell resources.
- Operate buildings.
- Choose actions while accounting for distance, time, stamina and competing Citizens.
An illustrative instruction might be: “Find the most profitable work nearby, preserve enough stamina to return home, and reinvest half your earnings.” The player sets the policy; the agent handles individual decisions.
This is interesting because it turns the existing game, which already has assets, prices, production requirements, into something like an idle sim, making the city economically active without requiring every owner to spend multiple hours playing.
Various different AIs such as Claude, Codex, Hermes, OpenClaw, will be supported, but players will have to pay their own inference costs.
More details are promised on 26th October with the launch of the new game’s trailer.
