Securitize now creates and redeems stablecoins directly with Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., the two companies announced on Tuesday. Anchorage described the arrangement as an alternative to obtaining the tokens through intermediaries.
Under the setup, the bank issues the tokens, keeps them in custody and settles the transactions. Securitize said in an X post that the structure means “one federally chartered bank handles the mint-to-redemption process.”
The announcement did not say which of the bank’s stablecoins Securitize uses. Anchorage’s issuance business includes USDtb, launched with Ethena Labs, and USA₮, developed with Tether, according to the release.

Dollars and Securities Under Federal Oversight
NYSE-listed Securitize (SECZ) builds the rails that BlackRock, Apollo, KKR, VanEck, BNY and Hamilton Lane use to issue tokenized funds, and counts more than $4 billion in assets on its platform, per Anchorage.
Carlos Domingo, Securitize’s chairman and CEO, said that for tokenization to work, “the dollar side of every transaction has to hold up to the same scrutiny as the securities side.” The bank gives Securitize “direct access to digital dollars issued under federal oversight, custodied by the same institution that issues them,” he said.
Nathan McCauley, Anchorage Digital’s co-founder and CEO, said, “Regulated issuance is what lets tokenization reach institutional scale.”
Existing Ties
The two firms already overlap. As of Aug. 31, about 99% of USDtb’s roughly $530 million in reserves sat in BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, which Securitize tokenizes, Anchorage said, referring to its attested reserve report. Anchorage also pointed to rwa.xyz data showing the tokenized real-world asset market reached $31 billion in March, up from about $23 billion when 2025 closed.
Securitize has been expanding its reach this year, rolling out tokenized U.S. stocks on Solana and teaming with South Korea’s LG CNS to explore tokenized funds and stablecoins.
The deal landed a day before the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which oversees national banks such as Anchorage’s, issued its final stablecoin rule under the GENIUS Act.
