Trade.xyz, the platform behind stock, index and commodity perpetual futures markets on Hyperliquid, told users on Monday to stay away from every link in its documentation after it detected unauthorized activity on the GitBook pages where those docs are hosted.
The company said in an X post, published just before 10 a.m. ET, that it spotted the activity “earlier this morning” and that the documentation “was fully restored to its previous state as of 9:15 AM ET.” It said in the same post that it was “actively reviewing the incident” and would share further updates “as appropriate.”
The warning on links stays in place for now. “As a precaution, we advise users not to click on any links within the documentation while our investigation remains ongoing,” trade.xyz wrote.

What Trade.xyz Has Not Said
The post did not describe what the unauthorized activity was, how it happened, when it began or whether any pages or links were changed. It also did not say whether the trading app, its smart contracts or any user funds were affected.
Why the Docs Matter
For a trading venue, the docs are often where users look up official links, market specifications and setup guides, so unauthorized changes to those pages can put users at risk.
Trade.xyz’s ICE Deal
The incident came four days after a major announcement from the company. On Oct. 29, trade.xyz said that Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, was making a strategic investment in it and planned to build a U.S. market for 24/7 Hyperliquid perpetual futures with it, subject to approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Billionaire investor Stan Druckenmiller, whom trade.xyz named as another backer, confirmed his stake separately.
Trade.xyz’s existing markets run under Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 framework, and the company in its ICE announcement said that they had passed $650 billion in volume in just over a year. Kraken parent Payward has also proposed a route for U.S. traders to reach Hyperliquid-linked perps.
